I have owned the truck for over ten years it was purchase about two years after lease return. In the first few years it had some issue with noise in the front end typical of NYC roads but it was fixed under GMC warranty. In the time that I've owned the vehicle up until about 90k it went to the dealer for all repairs Transmission was replaced at 90k along with a P/S pump. But it has gone everywhere when needed and with zero problems even now at 176k I still take it on long trips it's starting to show its age but what can take its place they don't make the Envoy anymore with the XL having a large 3rd row it will be hard to replace . I read other reviews of this truck and can't understand why some have had so many problems I've gotten my money's worth out of this vehicle and really don't want to get rid of it who even thinks that GM doesn't make vehicle that last is clearly not correct my Envoy Xl 5.3 V8 has been great is by another one if they still made them maybe I just got lucky but twelve years later and still going that's some luck.

We love the Envoy. It has proven to be an extremely comfotable and versatile vehicle for us. Whiel we use the low speed transfer case rarely, it has been very nice to have when needed. The fit and finish is very good and the materials are high quality. It drives and performs well, not like a sports car, but certainly as well as any other large SUV out there. We love the way the heated seats are able to be configured to just heat the back or both the seat and back if desired. My wife uses the back heat even in the summer! We have the Bose sound system and it performs in an excellent manner. All in all, a good buy and a good ownership experience.
